Seeing as we live in a world full of discrimination still, I feel it acceptable NECESSARY to publish my own opinions on my personal blog. Being a human being on the only known planet to sustain life forms in our universe, we should be taking care of this place and everything on it. This possession driven community is going straight down a slippery slope of self-destruction. We need to filter this wonderful rock of things negative. Of course, I understand the impossibility of this request, but by the time we figure things out for ourselves, it will be too late. Millions of corpses piled high, entire countries will be nothing but ashes, and our entirety will crumble. Our life choices today can change.
Looking in the world today, especially in America, I see the struggle of our planet. I may not see the mass murders or the possibility of not eating or getting clean water or having a warm bed to sleep in every night. I have all these things and much more luxury than a huge percent of Earth's population and I get the depressing privilege to see those countries leap to violence and chaos. Although, the US is far from perfect, I live in a country that I can feel (mostly) safe in.
As larger, more developed countries go, we're always trying to take control. Imagine our resourceful rock being free. No controlling government, no war or hate, no enemies...just all allies. Weird, isn't it? This speck of dust in our ever expanding universe is the only one WE have, so why are we destroying it and ourselves as well.
Greed, corruption, deception, terrorism- all these things make me uncomfortable, but here I am, living as though I have the potential to change it. I don't, but if you want to know something....WE can. We CAN change. We MUST change. If WE don't, then everything as we know will come to a disastrous, screeching halt. Nuclear wars and political revenge and international panic are all things we could avoid. But will we?
At this rate, we won't survive much longer. As our technologies advance, our people dumb down, we, as human beings, have the right to know what's going on behind our governments closed doors. Surely, there is something we as a whole can do?
Our population can achieve something amazing together, but with our separation as people, we can't make it far for future generations to enjoy life. Life as I know it today could improve by so much if our world wasn't controlled by possessions and material values. We have lost compassion for one another and has been replaced by oppression, selflessness with selfishness, humanity with harsh actions, goodness with greed.

Interesting Observtion:

Yesterday as I was leaving the budget meeting from the school district building, I noticed that there were three Cadillacs in the parking lot of some of the higher ups in the district office.

So, tell me again....where is the budget money going to?

Taking showers after some one be like..

Shower: sorry, we only have 7 seconds of boiling hot water or a full 20 minutes of lukewarm.

St. Croix ALC

St. Croix ALC is the alternative course of action from the usual high school courses, the hallway traffic, big class sizes, and, of course, slipping through the cracks. The St. Croix ALC is a close-knit, first-name-basis, one hallway kind of place that isn't trying to pile pressure onto the students by giving excessive homework, forcing us to sit still for more than three hours at a time, and we don't feel the need to dress up everyday to impress one another. This place is judgement free.
Until you attend this facility, you won't fully understand the meaning this place holds to many of the students. Many former students are even getting concerned with the upcoming debate on the 916 program taking over the building this upcoming summer causing students who might've fallen behind that would graduate in the early to mid-summer, like me to not graduate in time for college in the fall. The smaller class sizes help students get one-on-one attention that many do not receive at the high school causing students to easily slip through unnoticed and failing.
The teachers here actually give their students the time of day to ask how the fishing trip turned, or how your crazy aunt's surgery was, they don't hesitate to move beyond small talk. Teachers and students here have relationships rarely found in traditional school systems. The ALC is a family of learners, the students and teachers find ways to surprise each other with new information and I enjoy that. We have one hallway and everyone uses it, nodding at one another or a simple "good morning" or "good afternoon" to all those you pass by. What we need to do instead of budgeting our systems, is value learning more than grades.

Psychedelic Rock

Psychedelic Rock was a hit in the 60s and 70s with The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, and many other bands of the past. Psychedelic rock made it's way through the generation of rebels and the anti-conformists and the hippies. Many of these bands split up after a few decades or just simply faded away along the with the trend. Many of these bands are quite trendy in today's culture and I hope it continues to pass through generations beyond mine. I understand we don't listen to music made over one hundred years ago, but surely some of the future offspring will be slightly interested in the music of their ancestors.
Psychedelic Rock was one of the greatest moments of music history because those symphonies were able to make you feel, imagine, and hear all different kinds of sensations beyond physical comprehension and push the brain into finding new ways to explore itself. Some of the bands stated had even played at Woodstock in 1969 such as, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Grateful Dead, and many others, the point is that many young adults were moved and influenced so much in this era of mental exploration beyond the five sense realm and create ideas that would travel to my era and beyond.

Prom Dress.

This dress.

This color.
Or this color?
Or maybe this color?

Well, crud. Now, I can't decide.

Dream Home

Staircase with a slide for easy transportation downward     ----->

Have a cozy library all to myself

A gaming area to look something like this

Art & posters of all sorts

I also love to swim, so having a pool would be terrific...especially with a slide (:

My bedroom would be my piece of heaven with an awesome bed.

My bathroom would need to be bright enough to wake myself up in the morning but not blind me in the middle of the night

My kitchen would always be full of food.

One Line to Describe Why I Love This Song

If I could, I would keep this feeling in a plastic jar, bust it out whenever some one's acting hard. Settle down, barbeque in the back yard, kids get treats and old folks get classic cars.

Favorite song...of this week.

At this moment is my life, my most listened song on my playlist is Sunshine by Atmosphere. It gives a perspective on appreciating the small things even if you just feel cruddy. It gives a sense of happiness when the song bumps in your headphones or speakers. Although, the song talks about feeling like crap at the beginning, he just takes a different look at the things when he felt down and then realized all the little things that make life beautiful.

Ain't no way to explain or say
How painful the hangover was today
In front of the toilet, hands and knees
Trying to breathe in between the dry heaves
My baby made me some coffee
Afraid that if I drink some it's probably coming right back out me
Couple of advil, relax and chill
At a standstill with how bad I feel
I think I need to smell fresh air
So I stepped out the back door and fell down the stairs
The sunlight hit me dead in the eye
Like it's mad I gave half the day to last night
My bad sight made me trip on my ass right into that patch of grass like that's life
All of a sudden, I realize something
The weather is amazing, even the birds are bumpin'
Stood up and took a look and a breath
And there's that bike that I forgot that I possessed
Never really seen exercise as friendly
But I thing something's telling me to ride that ten speed
The brakes are broken, it's alright
The tires got air and the chain seems tight
Hopped on and felt the summertime,
It reminds me of one of them Musab lines like

[Chorus 2X]

Sunshine, sunshine, it's fine
I feel it in my skin, warming up my mind,
Sometimes you gotta give in to win,
I love the days when it shines, whoa let it shine

If I could I would keep this feeling in a plastic jar
Bust it out whenever someone's actin hard
Settle down, barbeque in the backyard
The kids get treats and old folks get classic cars
Every day that gets to pass is a success
Every woman looks better in a sun dress
The sunshine's an excuse to shoot hoops, get juice
Show improve their moves and let loose
I hear voices, I see smiles to match em
Good times and you can feel it in the fashion
Even though the heat cooks up the action
The streets still got butterflies
Enough kids to catch 'em
Ridin my bike around these lakes man
Feelin like I finally figured out my escape plan
Take it all and the day started off all wrong
Somehow now that hangover is all gone
Ain't nothing like the sound of the leaves
When the breeze penetrates these southside trees
Leanin' up against one, watchin' the vibe
Forgettin' all about the stress, thanking god I'm alive
It's so simple, I had to keep the song simple
When I get home I'm gonna open all the windows
Feelin' all right, stopped at a stop sign
A car pulled up, bumpin' Fresh Prince's Summertime

[Chorus 2X]
